Paytm has been propelled online bank name as Paytm Payment Bank on 23rd May 2017.

According to Paytm announcement Paytm currently are inviting limited users to open an account on Paytm Payments Bank Limited.
All users to informed you can request for an invite using paytmpaymentsbank.com or the latest Paytm app for New Paytm Savingbank account.

Procedure for Opening Paytm Payment Bank account online-

To get a Paytm Payments Bank saving account you need to visit Paytm Payment Bank page and then click on Request an Invite.
This will ask you to sign in to your Paytm account fill your Paytm login details and once you do that automatically log your interest in becoming an account holder.
  • If you are existing customer/user of Paytm Wallet so you do not need to do anything your account will be convert to Paytm Payments Bank automatically on 23rd May 2017.
  • If you do not want continue with your Wallet with Paytm Payments Bank so you have that option you can out before 23rd May 2017 by sending an email to help@paytm.com

If you have not any types of Paytm account (You want become a new customer of Paytm Payment Bank)-

  • Visit Paytm website or Download Paytm mobile app and sign up for a new account with your email id or mobile number.
  • After that you need to complete Paytm profile fill Mobile Number, Email Id, Date of Birth etc.
Note: Do not enter wrong details because Paytm will verify them using for KYC documents before creating your Paytm Payment Bank savings account.
  • Once you have done complete your profile Paytm will send you an OTP on your mobile, also Paytm will send you an email verification link on your email id just click on that link to verify your email id.

If you have not any types of Paytm account (You want become a new customer of Paytm Payment Bank)-

  • If you want become Paytm bank customer you will get an invite to open a separate Paytm Bank account, for KYC you have documents such as Aadhaar and permanent account number.
  • All Paytm existing wallet accounts will be automatically migrated to the new Paytm Payments Bank Limited. If you don't want to continue you need to send an email to help@paytm.com or visiting paytm.com/care.
  • Paytm Payment Bank accounts have a limit of Rs. 1 lakh per customer.
  • There is no minimum balance requirement for the bank account, also online transactions like that IMPS, NEFT, RTGS will not pay any charges
